She also involves herself regularly with other charities such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Give Kids the World.

District Of Columbia USA - MacKenzie Green
“It is the most amazing feeling in the world; it’s like flying through the air with your arms stretched out on a perfectly sunny day,” said MacKenzie Green on what it feels like being a beauty queen. “ Because that’s what it feels like when you get lucky…because success is nothing more than preparation and opportunity coming together.

Charity services seem to go hand in hand with the Miss USA contestants and MacKenzie Green has done her fair share with the organizations like the Washington Hospital Center, Reading Is Fundamental Book Drive, Relay For Life, and Juvenile Diabetes Association. A born competitor, Miss District of Columbia has been an athlete all of her life competing in swimming and horse shows in which earned her many awards.
“I spent a year preparing for Miss DC USA. I spent countless hours working to get ready, pushed myself to keep going when I felt tired, and never lost sight of what I was trying to achieve,” Miss District of Columbia told a local magazine. “And my hard work obviously paid off, and I’m thankful for every moment that I didn’t enjoy because it’s given me on of my greatest moments.”

Miss Alabama Audrey Moore
“Winning Miss Alabama was the most exciting feeling of my life. I cried and screamed. It was overwhelming,” Audrey Moore said. “I went in with the goal to win. But I wanted to look back on it and have a good time and make friends as well.”

An Auburn University student, Miss Alabama Audrey Moore who is a sophomore in communication disorders, has credited organizations such as Pi Beta Phi and the Student Government Association in helping her prep for the interview portion involved in pageant competitions. In addition to her preparation for the Miss USA competition, Audrey has hired a personal trainer to get her toned as well as a coach for the swimsuit portion of the competition.
“I hired a new coach to prepare me for Miss USA. I will spend the next few months training while traveling all over the state to promote the official causes of Miss USA, including breast and ovarian cancer,” Moore stated. “Miss Alabama was a whole new experience for me. I competed before, but I had no idea how to walk across a stage in a swimsuit.”
California USA - Nicole Michele Johnson

“I think it was my presentation,” Nicole Johnson stated after the Miss California competition. “I was very confident on the stage, and I stood out in a red gown. So I think maybe that was it.”

Let’s hope this odds favorite won’t repeat the drama that 2009’s Miss California Carrie Prejean brought to last year’s Miss USA competition. If you don’t remember, Carrie was stripped of her title last June for missing scheduled appearances and showing up at appearances that weren’t approved. Let’s also not forget about her controversial comment on the Miss USA stage when asked about same sex marriage by gossip blogger Perez Hilton.
Arkansas USA - Adrielle Churchill
“The law school community has been incredibly supportive of pageants,” Adrielle Churchill said. “The public speaking skills you learn in pageants are immeasurable, even though we ‘pageant girls’ are always the first to try wearing four-inch heels to a trial.”

24-year-old Adrielle Churchill will continue to smile on the Miss USA stage thanks to the fact that she has no law school debt since her pageantry career has taken care of that. But aside to her law career, being crowned Miss Arkansas has given Adrielle several modeling opportunities with numerous fashion photographers.
Arizona Brittany Bell
Not only is Brittany Bell beautiful and smart but she also has a good heart. She has made it a point to be heavily involved in community outreach charities now that she is Miss Arizona. Brittany is the spokes woman for “Face in the Mirror”, which is centered toward the healing touch of pampering patients in hospitals as they fight Cancer. She also gets involved with underprivileged youths as a mentor with the “Positive Adult Leadership in Society” program. Her charity work has also given her the opportunity to fulfill some of her entertainment dreams by reporting, hosting, voicing, writing scripts and video editing with “Cox Charities”. Should she win the 2010 Miss USA competition, she would be the first Miss Arizona to bring her state the crown.
