Wyoming USA - Claire Schreiner

is currently a senior at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she’s a Broadcast Journalism major. While attending the University, she’s the captain of the UNLV women’s track and field team as she earned her scholarship for that sport.

"I am really excited to have won," Claire Schreiner said after winning her Miss Wyoming title. "This is something I have wanted since I was a little girl. Having the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas I think will be an advantage for me. I am looking forward to graduating in December and then concentrating on getting ready for Miss USA."


Wisconsin USA - Courtney Lopez
is currently attending the Milwaukee Area Technical College in the registered nursing program and works part-time at Aurora South Shore Hospital in the medical surgical unit. Miss Wisconsin loves to be in front of the camera and because of that she’ll also be attending the New York Film Academy in the near future.

Courtney continued to say on her chances of winning Miss USA, “Chance” is a card in the game Monopoly and I’d hope that all my efforts towards preparing myself as a candidate for the position of Miss USA are more than “Chance.” Yes, one of us “Lucky” 51 contestants will experience the unknown & unpredictable phenomenon that causes an event to result one way rather than another by our presentation to the Judges that results in them saying, “Miss Wisconsin USA – Courtney Lopez, You are our New Miss USA.” So, I guess I’ll leave the “Chances” to the betting people of Las Vegas & I’ll just have to hope I’m the last one standing.”




West Virginia USA - Erica Jade Goldsmith
Erica attended West Virginia University and received a Bachelor of Science degree. She is debt-free when it comes to her education due to the Promise Scholarship, which she most proud of.

“A lot of hard work goes into winning a state title, but hard work pays off,” Erica Goldsmith said on winning the West Virginia crown. “I believe the most important thing to do is to be prepared. If you practice walking, work on your interview, and be prepared, by the time you get to your state pageant, you will have no reason to be nervous. You will be ready for anything and have confidence in yourself and when you’re confident, that confidence will show in interviews and on stage and that is what I think will set you apart from the other girls.”


Washington USA - Tracy Turnure
At 24 years old, Tracy Turnure will be representing her state of Washington in the upcoming 2010 Miss USA pageant. Miss Washington is coming in at +10000 odds and she will need to give the competition her all if she wants to bring home the crown. Tracy’s fraternal twin sister brought in the Miss Washington title in 2009.

“It may never happen again. I think we made pageant history,” Tara Turnure said of her back-to-back Miss Washington wins with her sister. “I think if we would have been identical twins … she wouldn’t have won,” Tara said of her newly crowned sister. “I mean, they don’t want the exact same person to be next year’s winner.”
Born and raised in Washington, Tracy Turnure is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing and Sales. While in college, she also spent a semester abroad in Italy. Miss Washington currently works for WA Partners as a commercial real estate company and is working towards becoming a broker. Tracy has been modeling on the site and would one day like to invest in and purchase properties.




Vermont USA - Nydelis Ortiz
Currently a senior at Castleton state College, +4000 odds Nydelis Ortiz graduated high school at 16 years old and will be graduating from college at age 20. Miss Vermont is earning a double major in Spanish for Business and Spanish Language and Literature with a minor in Business Administration. Having high hopes of one day owning her own business, Nydelis has interned at the Department of Homeland Security.

"I feel like I've accomplished a lot. I am the first person in family to go to college. That's something to be proud of,” Nydelis Ortiz said. “I'm doing something very good and making my family proud. When I won it was kind of like a surreal moment. To be honest, after my name got called it all was just kind of a blur. I remember shaking really, really bad." A native of Puerto Rico, Nydelis Ortiz loves the outdoors and enjoys learning to play musical instruments. She also keeps in shape by going to the gym, running, or even playing football.


Utah USA - Katya Dmitrievna Feinstein
was born in Russia, Katya Feinstein was raised in Utah after her parent migrated there in 1992. She earned her Associate degree of applied science in Cosmetology and Barbering from Salt Lake Community College and continued her education at SLCC for her Masters Esthetician License. After her she completes her duties as Miss Utah, Katya plans to attend business school at Argosy University and hopes to one day start her skincare line or own her own salon and spa.

“Biggest challenge would undoubtedly be MYSELF,” Katya Feinstein said on the biggest challenge of Miss USA. “Making sure I stay focused and positive any way I can, and if I do have a “freak out” moment to bring myself back to reality and move forward! Because at that point I’ll be as prepared as I can be and knowing how hard I worked to get there I’ll have zero regrets and I will be ready to rock!!”
Currently working at a salon just for kids as a hair stylist, Katya Feinstein has always lived a healthy lifestyle and would love to spread that message to children of all ages to learn about eating right as well as staying active. Miss Utah hopes to continue working with children in the future as she loves what she does.


Texas USA - Kelsey Moore
had no plans of competing for the Miss Texas pageant but after chose to entered after a professional sports agent of hers made the recommendation and received the title after the first try. Her goals is to continue to play professional volleyball for a couple of years and then to move on to become a political newscaster. Kelsey is currently attending University of Texas at El Paso on a full-ride volleyball scholarship and will be majoring in Electronic Media.

“I’ve always known that I wanted to play volleyball professionally, and when I’m done with volleyball I want to pursue a career as a political reporter, Kelsey Moore said. ”A friend of the family that’s in the sports and entertainment business suggested I start getting used to public speaking and also get my name out there. That’s how this came about, I signed up for the Miss El Paso pageant for the experience.”


Tennessee USA - Tucker Perry
competition this Sunday. Currently a student at Belmont University in Nashville, Miss Tennessee will be majoring in Commercial Music – Voice Performance. Along with her general classes, Tucker is also very busy with her schedule of voice lessons, music theory, and performance classes. She’s already appeared in music video’s of such artists like Taylor Swift and Martina McBride.

"It's such an honor to represent the state of Tennessee, “Tucker Perry said. “Six months after I was called as the winner at the state pageant, and I still can't believe that I'm Miss Tennessee."
As for charity, Tucker Perry has involved herself with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in her community and hopes to use her new title to continue to promote the importance of mentoring and raising awareness to bring positive influences in the lives of children across the globe. Miss Tennessee’s ultimate goal in life is to one day become a major recording artist to headline her own world tour and inspire others in the same way she has been inspired.




South Dakota USA - Emily Anne Miller
will be one of the contestants gracing the 2010 Miss USA stage. Emily Anne Miller is pursuing a major in Dance Performance/Choreography and a double minor in Entertainment Management and Accounting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Emily will be graduating next December after taking a semester off to fulfill her Miss South Dakota Duties. After graduation, she plans on pursuing a career as a New York Radio City Rockette or as a Broadway dancer.

"Just hope and pray that nothing goes wrong, that you don't slip down the stairs or something. If not, just get up and taught it off and pretend like it never happened, "said Emily Miller of the Miss USA competition. "It's always important to just be who you are because if you do win you have a year of trying to act like the person you were at Miss USA."
A dancer for 17 years, Emily Anne Miller was chosen by the University of Las Vegas Dance Department to dance and perform in Seoul, Korea with an exchange program at the Korean University. Not to shy away from charity work, Miss South Dakota volunteers at her local elementary school and is active is such charities as Children’s Miracle Network and the Painted Turtle – a camp for children with life threatening illness. She plans on using her Miss South Dakota title to use it as a platform for good.
